IRBIS download page

IRBIS stands for Intermolecular RNA (BLAT-like) Interaction Search

It works by detecting conserved complementary (gapped) n-mers in groups of orthologous sequences

A short manual comes with the IRBIS package

Currently, the development of IRBIS is moved to github

IRBIS package is distributed under General Public Licence

To install, follow the steps below

• Unzip the tar.gz file and enter the directory
• Make sure that you have
  • g++ compiler
  • perl
  • muscle software (if not, type 'make muscle' from the command line)
  • latex + tikz + pgfplots (pgfplots is optional)
• Make sure that you don't have the directory called 'db' in your home directory; it will be replaced
• To install and download data, type
  • make all
  • make -f database.mk all
  • make -f metacalc.mk all
